On behalf of andc I participated in the challenge ‘Spreading Bicycle Congestion’ organized by the municipality of Utrecht. The municipality was looking for dynamic, innovative solutions that, through positive behavioral change, would reduce the objective
congestion at various hotspots in the city by spreading cyclists. After researching the environment, the target group, and existingknowledge about behavior, the following main question was formulated:What would a product look like that motivates cycling students and commuters, through positive behavioral change,to take alternative routes during peak hours?
